God’s Vision (Part 2)
Proverbs 29:18b
Featuring
Jenny Lynn Anderson
An award-winning author, national
speaker and sexual assault survivor.
Jenny Lynn Anderson captivates
audiences with Room 939, her
dynamic message of courage in the
face of adversity. She will share her
story of courage and give you advice
that you will never forget!
A Message From Our Pastor For The Interim
How exciting to have visitors attending both services each week! It pleases me to hear that our visitors are
experiencing Tabernacle’s friendly greetings. I want to personally welcome two new members to the
Tabernacle family...Kathy Walker Rupp and Cynthia Harper. What a joy having these ladies link arms with us
as we reach out into the world and share HIS LOVE each day.
On Sunday, we spent time in the Scripture looking at the consequences of having “no vision” as laid out in
Proverbs 29:18a: “Where there is no vision, the people will perish”. We will complete that verse, “...but he
that keepeth the law, happy is he” this Sunday as we seek to get “our visions” in line with “God’s Vision”.
No Vision = Total Failure
Limited Vision = Little Success
Vision + A Plan - Action = A Haunting Dream
Vision + A Plan + Action = A World-Changing Church
I have been encouraging you to engage people in conversation in order to lead to a Christ Encounter. As I
hear how some of you are taking that challenge seriously, it warms my heart. Your efforts are contagious,
infectious, and life-giving. Keep your eyes open for opportunities and BE COURAGEOUS!
See you Sunday,
Pastor Glenn Dyer
Happenings In the Choir
Stuart Morris Tenders Resignation
As I have been reflecting on Sunday's service and the
focus of Jesus’ love, it brought up a memory of a few
years back. I had the good fortune to teach a Preschool
Sunday School class with a very sweet lady Ethyl
Myers. We would sing Jesus Loves Me to those precious
2 year olds every Sunday. One Sunday Mrs. Myers sang
“I love Jesus does He know? Have I ever told Him
so? He would like to hear me say, that I love Him every
day. Yes, I Love Jesus. Yes, I love Jesus. Yes, I love
Jesus because he first loved me!!” When the choir sang
Because He Loved Me First, I remembered this
wonderful lady who so many years ago sang to children
about the love of Christ!! This is the Tabernacle I have
grown to love. The people and their love for our Lord!!!
I am praying for our church and to have that spirit back!! Diane Blevins
Tabernacle Family,
Ecclesiastes 3:1, HCSB, reminds us that “There is an
occasion for everything, and a time for every activity
under heaven.” After spending much of the last year in
prayer and meditating on the scriptures, I have discerned,
with the help of the Holy Spirit, that it is time for me to
leave Tabernacle. At the present time I will remain in
Carrollton continuing to pursue my studies at West
Georgia Technical College. I want to thank all of you for
the guidance and assistance you have provided not only
to me, but also to the Kainos Worship Service and to the
Recreation Department over these last two years!
Tabernacle was, is, and will always be my home church.
I will continue to pray for you all in the months and
years to come. God bless.
