Home Express Hoops for Heart at Russell The annual Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart took place this past week at the Russell campus. We had over 50 participants between the middle and high school. The students did a fantastic job preparing for the day. We had wonderful sportsmanship and everyone had a good time. Our overall winner for the jump rope contest was 7th grader, Madeline Thao, with 81 jumps. Our middle school basketball team champs were Cedric Brown, Juan Pabon, and Justin Dussault. The high school winning team was Bobby Jones and Sam Escobedo, playing hard and strong to win the whole thing. Cedric Brown won the free throw shooting contest for middle school and Jaquan Dostry won the three point shooting contest for the high school. Thanks to all that participated. A special thanks to Mrs. Kroll and her students for helping out with posters for the event, and to Mr. Cardarella for making the brackets for us. You all did an excellent job and I hope everyone had a good time!
