The Temple fice at 643-2435 and speak with Debbie or Tony. was to be a house of prayer, not of commerce. We too are temples. We are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are to be in communion with Jesus, to have our hearts set on him. How often, when we kneel down to pray, or try to silence our hearts to speak with Jesus, all our distractions, to-do lists, come to mind. We think of all the other things we could be doing, things that to others might seem more productive than prayer. So often we give into the temptation to walk away from our prayer to more active pursuits. Let us ask the Lord to clean our hearts and minds from all that would distract us from spending time with him, things that pull us away from the Kingdom of God. Let us approach Jesus in honest prayer, even offering him our distractions and share what is deep in our hearts, that we may come to know his great love for us. JUST A REMINDER!! The Church is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for solace and Lenten Prayer. Stations of the Cross books are available in the Narthex for individual prayer. Children who need foster and adoptive families have often been removed from their birth families for reasons of abuse , neglect, abandonment, and/or other issues endangering their health and safety. Many of these children are filled with fear, anger, confusion, or a sense of powerlessness at having been removed from the only home they have ever known. Many are sibling groups, older children, or young teens. Some have developmental, physical, emotional, or behavioral problems. They all need safe, supportive, loving homes. Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth is a statewide, non-profit child welfare agency with a distinguished 126 year history of providing specialized therapeutic and educational services to children and families. Berkshire’s Farm Center’s mission is “to strengthen children and families so they can live safely, independently, and productively in their home communities.” At Berkshire, they provide an intensive preparation program; annual specialized training; support groups; on-call team members who are available 24/7; child/family matchups based on family strengths and the child’s needs. Every family must be cleared by a Criminal Background Check and State Central Registry. If this sounds like something that may be calling you, please contact Kristena Hebert 518-491-3758 or email her at [email protected] . HOLY WEEK IS COMING!! ARE YOU READY??
