As most of you know by now, Steve and Barb, Scott and
Sandy, have stepped down from being our Chapter Director
and Assistant Chapter Director, due to personnel commitments. At this time, on behalf of FL2D, we would like to
thank them so very, very much for all they have done for the
chapter in the last four years. Still looking forward to their
being involved with chapter.
Harry and I are your new Chapter Director, more on this at our March meeting.
Also, at this time, we would like to welcome all of our new members to the
fold.
There seems to be some great things planned for FL2D and we hope you all
will be participating in most of them. (See ride coordinator column).
Anyway….we are back and if any of you have questions or concerns, don't
hesitate to get in touch with us and ask. If we don't have the answers we'll do
our best to find the answer.
Meetings - First Tuesday of each month. Currently meeting at : MeMaws on Babcock in Palm Bay.
Eat, Chat and Mingle at 6:00pm. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm

Wow…wow….wow …You guys never cease to amaze me. Think you're trying to give
me a heart attack. Thanks to you… we had another GREAT month of rides.
First there was the rally in Sanford, hosted by FL1G, Deltona. I nearly busted my buttons
with pride. Fourteen of us made the trek and what a day it was, the safari theme was fantastic and different. But just the idea that fourteen FL2D members were there reminded
me of the "old" days.
Next came our kick tire at Hardees on Babcock. Whew….twenty-nine came out for that
one. We almost had enough to hold our regular meeting. I apologized to the manager for
not calling ahead as I was not expecting that many. He just laughed and said "Call or no
call, he sure was glad to have us"
Sunday, February 15, 38 degrees predicted for the early morning. I pulled myself out of a
warm bed and figured Harry and I would be the only ones foolish enough to ride . SURPRISE !!!!!!!!!!! We weren't the only "foolish" ones. Yes sir re-bob…. There was eighteen
of us that morning. Six bikes and two cars. Bless you.
There is one more kick tire for the month but it comes after this goes to press.That would
be to Malibu restaurant in Rockledge. But I have faith that a slew of you will show for
that as it is one of our favorites. Don't disappoint me….o.k.?
Some of the things I am looking into are:
A 3 day getaway cruise to the Bahamas ( late June early July)
A week-end ride to Florida city and on down to the Keys (spring)Group ride to WingDing(September first)
So there. Don't say you weren't warned. Think it over and we will be discussing them at
the meetings.
As always ride very safety conscious and REMEBER,
Watch out for the guy behind the guy, in front of you. That guy is you and we want to
keep you around.
