Announcements Sunday 15 March 2015 Welcome to Worship Today we continue our study in Matthew 25. Alistair Bill will speak on the parable of the talents, Act wisely: use what you’ve been given. He will also speak about Life Groups. The Ark, JCBs and Bible class meet today after the first 20 minutes. In the evening at 7 pm there will be a preview showing of The Cross, which is an integral part of My Hope 2015 with Billy Graham. This looks forward to Sunday 12 April at 7 pm when the churches in Newtownbreda and Belvoir will take over the ballroom in the Ramada Hotel, Shaws Bridge, to show The Cross - an opportunity to bring neighbours and friends to hear and reflect on the centrality of the cross to our Christian faith. Refreshments will be served after the service in the Coffee Bar. A Crèche meets every Sunday - if necessary ask for directions in the Hub. This will look at Christian basics and is part of the process towards becoming a full church member. RED meets 6.45 - 8.30 pm Tuesday Break. On Tuesday March 24, we plan a visit to Crumlin Road Gaol. The bus leaves SRPC at 2.00pm and returns at 5.30pm. A day for all Youth and Children leaders will be held on Saturday 9th May in the Youth Room from 9.30am – 1pm. It will be a time to be still and be refreshed by God and will be led by Roz Stirling from Cleopas Calling all Organisations. Leaders are reminded that, unless the outside door into the Halls is manned, it should be kept locked, especially in the evenings. (Recently there has been some casual ‘visitors’.) Prayer Points Discipleship. Pray that we might act wisely rather than foolishly as we wait for the Lord’s return, being active rather than passive disciples. St Patrick’s Day Ireland. In this week give thanks for the growth of Biblical faith throughout the island, for churches and fellowships spreading the good news across religious, cultural and ethnic lines. Pray for the spread of the good news, that the Lord might be honoured by his people in this land. My Hope 2015. Pray for the event planned by the Newtownbreda and Belvoir churches for the Ramada Hotel on 12 April, that it might be the means of people coming to faith, and that the God of the cross and resurrection might glorified. Stormont. Pray for a resolution of the crisis in the Executive. Pray that the Stormont ministers and political parties might be able to set aside any sense of playing politics with this crisis and concentrate on good government.
