Chicago Johnny’s Giardiniera Roasted Pork:
Recipe & Techniques
Beginning notes:
• You can use either Chicago
Johnny’s Hot Giardiniera or Mild
Giardiniera. Don’t add any other spices,
liquids, etc.
• Serve this dish with any sides you
please!
Ingredients:
2-3 Lb pork roast
1 jar of Chicago Johnny’s Hot or Mild
Giardiniera
1 cup Jasmine rice
3 cups water
1 Tbl sea salt
Frozen vegetables
Recipe:
Add 2-3 Lb pork roast & 1 jar of Chicago Johnny’s Hot or Mild Giardiniera to a slow
cooker & turn on low.
After 2-3 hours flip your roast.
After another 3 hours take your roast out, shred it, & add the pork back to the slow
cooker & continue cooking on low 20-30 minutes.
During your last step of cooking your shredded roast, start your Jasmine rice. Add 1
cup of Jasmine rice & 3 cups of water & 1 Tbl of sea salt to a pot & bring to a simmer.
Cook 12-18 minutes until rice has reached the texture you desire. Strain in a colander
& rinse with hot water.
Plate with rice, pork, & steamed vegetables.
