THINK SPRING !!!
Please join the Serrans of the Diocese of Allentown in
praying for Vocations on Saturday, March 21st at
Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally, PA.
This parish is the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the

original building. When it was founded Daniel Boone
was a child playing at his family home a few miles
away and George Washington wasn't yet a teen! You
will be both amazed and edified by the extensive catalog of religious and historical artifacts and documents
and the beauty of the church itself!
The day will begin with the Rosary for Vocations at
10:30 AM, followed by Mass, celebrated by Father
James Bechtel, Pastor Emeritus at St. Jerome in
Tamaqua and a former pastor of MBS. The tour of the
Church and grounds and a catered luncheon is also
included in the $10 offering. Any proceeds will go to
St. Charles Borromeo Seminary to further the formation
of our seminarians. Please come, pray and be inspired
by a true gem of our Catholic heritage!

STEWARDSHIP
GOD’S PLAN FOR GIVING:
Tithing: weekend of March 8, 2015
$36,996.95
Tithing: weekend of March 9, 2014
$30,307.37
Student Offerings of March 8, 2015
$16.45
It has been said many times over and in a variety of
ways that stewardship is based upon gratitude.
Gratitude for what, we might ask? For the variety of
blessings each of us receives, understanding full well
that each of us is gifted in different ways and perhaps
even in different measures. However, there is one gift
in which we all share equally.
“For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish
but might have eternal life.” (John 3:16) It is difficult for us
to even conceive of the magnitude of that multifaceted
gift, from God’s unconditional love for us to the
extraordinary gift of His Son Jesus to the fabulous gift
of everlasting life.
Stewardship calls us to appreciate all of God’s gifts, but
if we only focus on the gifts listed above, our gratitude
should know no bounds. We need to recognize God’s
gifts and especially during our preparations for Easter,
find ways to show and live out our gratitude.
Thank you for your continued donations & support!
LOYOLA DOLLAR$ PROGRAM
Many years ago, our parish planted the seed of
“Stewardship” as a way of life. Good stewards make good
use of what God has given them, to return to Him the first
fruits of their Time, Talent and Treasure. Three local
establishments offer our parish a 5% return for parishioners
to buy and use their store gift cards when making grocery
purchases.
Simply illustrated, if 200 of our parish families purchased
$100 worth of gift cards from the parish each week, the 5%
discount given to the parish would yield $1,000 profit to he
parish each week!! No extra money from the pockets of
the parishioners - all that is needed is the conscientious
effort to purchase the gift cards from our parish, prior to
grocery shopping.
We invite you to be good Stewards. Stop by the Rectory,
Monday through Friday, or the Church Office, before and
after all weekend Masses, to learn more about how easy the
Loyola Dollar$ Program is. The following are the store gift
cards we have available, and the denominations they come in:
Giant Food: $10, $25, $50, $100
Redner’s: $20, $25, $50, $100
Weis: $10, $20, $25, $50, $100
SAVE THE DATES!
