Hello everyone, at last, spring is here. This
time of year seems to be the better place to
start with new projects and renewed ‘get up
and go’. We are finished with Christmas
(well maybe not the credit card bill), the
decorations are back up in the loft (except
for that last one that always gets forgotten),
the children are settled back at school and
we can now turn our attention to ourselves
and our goals for the year ahead.

and a Medalist in most Judo Tournaments, throughout Europe Ellen has
seen a wide variety of injuries both to
herself and others. This course is a
partnership of Ellen’s sporting experiences and her knowledge of Bowen as
she has been a Bowen Therapist since
1997 and a Bowtech Tutor since
2000.

This workshop will explore the various
receptors found in fascia and other forms
of connective tissue. It will explain how
these different receptors respond to the
different types of touch (ie speed, depth
of pressure etc) that are used in various
Bowen moves and how the practitioner
can use Bowen moves to achieve specific
effects.

Fascial Lines, Tensegrity & Assessment for Bowen Practitioners
with Kelly Clancy
This introductory day is designed
specifically for Bowen practitioners, will give you the tools to provide a more targeted and effective
treatment for your clients. By
learning to objectively test and
document limitations, you will
then be able to choose the most
appropriate Bowen procedures,
helping to avoid over-treatment,
and staying true to Tom Bowen’s
“less is more” mission. With these
objective measures, you will be
able to educate your clients on the
source of their discomfort, communicate client progress to other
providers, and document outcomes for further Bowen research.

THE POWER OF BOWEN
Eamon Cramb is a MMA (Mixed Martial Artist) who went to Trevor
Griffiths’ clinic towards the end of last year with various injuries. The
injuries were such that he though he would have to pull out of the imminent Scottish Kick Boxing Championship finals in Dundee. As you
can imagine after all the training and achievement so far the thought of
not being able to reach the final goal was unacceptable. Trevor saw
him for three sessions and after them not only was he able to fight, he
won in 40 seconds and became Scottish K1 Champion.
Eamon Cramb fought Chris Duncan from Aberdeen Combat Centre on October 11th 2014 for the Pro K1
78kg WKA Scottish Title. Eamon won against the reigning champion with a deadly spinning kick only 40
seconds into the first round. It was a great performance from Eamon, who kept his cool whilst under some
serious fire from Chris. Well done to both fighters, and congratulations to Eamon!
Eamon has now moved to Hong
Kong to teach there. An amazing
achievement. for a young man full
of determination and drive.

Bexters® Soda Crystals: New name – same benefits
by Helen Mary Perkins, exclusive distributor UK and Europe
Lectric Soda Crystals, a natural remedy first endorsed by Tom Bowen, have had
a makeover. Recommended by many Bowen therapists for use at home to enhance treatment, the crystals have been re-named in line with the Australian
supplier.
Now called Bexters®, the bold new packaging has a more contemporary image
that better reflects the crystals’ features and benefits. Used by athletes and
sportsmen to relieve pain and swelling caused by injury or over-exertion, professional therapists have also reported good results when used at home alongside clinical treatment.
Having discovered the crystals while living and working in Australia, Bowen
therapist Helen Mary Perkins was determined to make them more widely available when she returned home where she became exclusive distributor for the UK and rest of Europe. Since 2013 she has
been a registered Bowtech instructor.
The Bexters® formulation remains unchanged and responding to demand, Helen has created a larger 800g sachet, alongside the popular handy-sized 200g option. The crystals can be used in a bath or foot spa, as a soak to ease muscle aches
and pains, or with a purpose-designed applicator wrap to treat localised swelling, around the knee or ankle, for example.
A selection of applicator wraps is available in a variety of sizes for adults and children, made from hard-wearing cotton
for easy laundering and re-use. The sachets are re-sealable, easy to store and more portable for those who wish to carry
them around in a sports bag.
Bexters® is one of several specialist products available from www.bowensuppliesbyhelen.com where more information
and testimonials can be found.
