1. This show is approved and sanctioned by the American Miniature Horse Registry,
Morton, Ill. All horses entered must be registered by AMHR in order to show.
2. Show management and or the show Steward reserve the right to settle and determine all
questions, differences and disputes arising out of or connected with an incident to the
show within the boundaries of AMHR’s current rules.
3. All horses entered must have health papers signed by a certified vet within 30 days of
the show date listing the above mentioned show.
4. Measuring will be Friday 6:00 PM and Saturday morning at 7am. AMHR horses only.
5. Gelding status must be noted on the horse’s registration papers in order to show.
6. Stalls will be available from Noon Friday the 22nd and must be vacated by 10:00pm on
Sunday. Anyone who wishes to arrive earlier or stay late must contact the Fairgrounds
directly. Stalls will be $40.00 for the weekend. Shavings will be $6.50 per bag,
ordered with entries. All horses must have a stall. NO JUMP OUTS. NO nails/staples
can be used on the stalls. **When entering, you must fill out fees schedule for each
show, but stalls are one price for the weekend. You can fill out fees schedule for stalls
on one but do not need to on the other.
7. All dogs must be on a leash at all times.
8. NO SMOKING is allowed within the confines of the barns or the show Arena.
9. Parking: There are designated parking areas. After unloading vehicles and trailers,
they must park in the designated area. No parking on the grass, near trash removal
areas, near fire exits, or main drive.
10.RV’s: Parking for RV’s is available for $50.00 each for the weekend. Please note on
your entry form how many spaces are needed. A parking permit will be required and
will be issued by the show office.
11.Concessions: On the show grounds.
12.NO PAINTING OF HOOFS ON CEMENT FLOORS. You must use something under
their feet so as not to leave hoof black on the floor.
13.Awards: Ribbons 1st – 6th place. Small neck ribbons for Champion classes. Classic
neck ribbons for Champion of Champion
14.Directions to the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds. From I – 90 – take I – 29 south to Exit 80.
Go east into fairgrounds. Expo building is at South end of fairgrounds.
15.Hotels with in 5 miles of the fairgrounds: Brimark Inn 3200 W. Russell St. (800)6584508. Ramada Limited – 405 S. Lyons off 12th across from the fairgrounds (605)3300000. Oaks Hotel 3300 Russell St. (605-336-9000).
16.All Adds & Scratches MUST be made at least four classes previous and must have an
Add & Scratch slip made out with the show management.
17.All Tack Changes must be made to the gate person or the show management at least
two classes ahead.
18.The two minute gate call will be enforced. Class announcements to the barns are a
courtesy. It is the responsibility of the exhibitors to be on time for classes.
19. A Pee Wee Novice Class (non-sanctioned and free) for youth will be offered at
noon. All youth are welcome to participate in this fun class!
20. There is an extra 15$ fee for all Stakes classes as they will be a payout for the first
three placings at 65%, 25% and 10%.
Entries must be postmarked by May 10, 2015. Entries must include a copy of the horse’s
registration papers, a current measurement card with in the last 60 days or a permanent card,
and a copy of current Youth and Amateur cards. Mail entries to:

Every entry at this SDMHCA and AMHR sanctioned show shall constitute an agreement and affirmation that the person making it is the owner, lessee, trainer,
