TREASURER’S MOMENT...
Treasurer Training:
By the time you read this, the CAPTA Convention will be over. Did you get to
go and attend treasurer training classes? Do you remember everything you
learned there? Do you now have more questions? OR, did you miss
Convention? Fear not as we will be hosting our annual 12th District PTA

Leadership Conference on June 6 . We will be going over treasurer basics for
those of you who are new to the job. For those of you who are veteran
treasurers, we will be available to answer questions that may have arisen during
your last term of office.
Year-End Audit:
Are you getting your books in order for the Year-End Audit at the end of June?
Will they be in order when you pass them on to the incoming treasurer? If it was you who was receiving the books,
what would you like them to include? Make sure what your passing on is what you would've liked to receive.
If you have any financial questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Are you a PTA Leader?
Then you need Leadership Conference!
You wouldn’t let an untrained person coach your soccer team.
You wouldn’t let an untrained person teach your child to dance.
How can your PTA work without trained leaders?
All board members should be encouraged to attend. Even PTA veterans can use
training because rules change and there is always something new to learn!
Cost: $20.00 per person for the 1st three people.
Bring more than three and the additional people go down to $15.00 each.

Year-End Audits
As the year is coming to an end, make sure to be in contact with your
treasurer in order to get the information you need to complete the year-end
audit. The year-end audit period is from January 1, 2015, to June 30, 2015.
Upon completion, please forward your year-end audits to your council auditor.

UPDATE YOUR OFFICER CONTACT INFO NOW!
Unit Presidents - It's time to update the contact information for your incoming officers.
As your term of office is coming to an end, it is time to provide the contact information for your incoming PTA
President and board for the 2015-16 membership year. This is a task for the outgoing president. The incoming
officer cannot enter their contact information.
If your unit is a subscriber to the PTAEZ finance module, you have likely logged into the system on occasion
and are familiar with how to enter information. We suggest you read through the directions below, as we have
made some changes to the system – especially to the levels of access and how the finance side differs from the
officer contact side.
If you do not remember your login, please contact PTAEZ directly for help in resetting your access by
dialing (877) 944-7798 and selecting option #1.
If your unit only uses the Online Officer Contact, a login for the unit president whose email address was
provided in the Online Officer Contact has been created so that you can access the website. Using the Online
Officer Contact system through PTAEZ is free.
USER NAME: The email address In the Online Office Contact
PASSWORD: 1000
Please note that this password will expire on July 1, 2015 and you will need to contact your council or district for
assistance in getting new information entered after that date.
