2015 FA Convention Silent Auction Donation Form The 2015 Convention Committee is planning to have a “Silent Auction” at the annual convention in Livingston, NJ. We are hoping that all FA groups will choose to be part of the event by donating one “quality” item to place in the auction. If possible, this item must be small enough to travel packed in baggage on a plane. The silent auction will help defray costs of the convention. If we are successful, it might also make it possible to donate proceeds to the World Service Office general fund. For those who have never seen a silent auction, this is how it works. The items to be auctioned are placed on a table with a form for each. The form describes what is special about the item (i.e. hand-made, etc.) and has an opening bid amount listed on it. During the course of the convention, attendees can add their names and raise the opening bid amount being offered for the item. At a designated time toward the end of the convention, the auction will close. The last person to have written a bid on each form will pay for it and take possession of the item. It is a fun event! Quality items can generate a significant amount of money for the fellowship. We hope you will join us in this endeavor. It is also possible for FA members to donate something on their own.
