ANN ARBOR SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS:
Chamber Concerts: Music with Friends
Oboe and Strings
Join the A2SO on March 27th at 1:30 pm at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann
Arbor for our continuing chamber recital series. This hour-long chamber concert features works
performed by special guests include Principal Oboist Timothy Michling, A2SO violinist David
Ormai, A2SO violist David Ford, A2SO cellist Jacob Wunsch.
Timothy Michling is a principal oboist of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and A2SO soloist
of the sold-out Mozart Birthday Bash concert from this January. An avid performer, Michling
appears frequently with numerous area orchestras, including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra,
Flint Symphony Orchestra, Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, Midland Symphony Orchestra,
Oakland Symphony Orchestra, and the Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also an
accomplished woodwind specialist, and was a member of the pit orchestra during the 2003-2004
North American Tour of Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man," playing oboe, English horn, flute,
piccolo, clarinet, and bassoon.
David Ormai is a violinist for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, concertmaster for the
Livonia Symphony and a core member of the Flint Symphony. He has also performed with such
ensembles as City Music Cleveland, the Colorado Music Festival, the Danubia Symphony of
Hungary, and the Toledo Symphony.
David Ford is a section violist for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Toledo
Symphony, a substitute with the Detroit Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Through his
work as a substitute with the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2010, he has accompanied the
Orchestra on residencies in Vail, CO, Satratoga Springs, NY, and in Philadelphia at both Verizon
Hall and the Mann Center.
Jacob Wunsch section cello for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, is pursuing a master’s
degree in Cello Performance at the University of Michigan. Jacob was formally a cellist for
Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and Owensboro Symphony Orchestra. Jacob has collected
many awards including Aspen Music Festival Student Fellowship, Eva Heinitz Scholarship and
the Waukesha Symphony Dorothy M. Frisch Award.

this wonderful community of like-minded friends and enjoy a complimentary dessert reception at
1:00 p.m.

The A2SO Chamber Recital Series features the finest chamber recital music played by A2SO
musicians and guests. These hour-long concerts are open to listeners of all ages. Wind, string
and brass soloists and ensembles combine programs to include freshly minted pieces along with
time-honored classics. All concerts are preceded by dessert and coffee. Hosted by the Jewish
Community Center of Ann Arbor (2935 Birch Hollow Dr Ann Arbor, MI 48108). The A2SO
