ABERDEEN & NORTH EAST OF SCOTLAND MUSIC FESTIVAL • • • • • • • • • GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING THE ENTRY FORM Please use a separate form for each entry, and write clearly. Additional forms may be photocopied or obtained from Top Note, Crown Street. All entries must be submitted by an adult (i.e. someone over 16) whether teacher, parent or guardian. This is the "Applicant". Each Applicant should give one address only for all correspondence. Acknowledgement and ballot slips will be sent to that address. If possible an email address should be supplied for this purpose. For multiple entries, the Applicant’s address need only be entered on the top form, but please enter the Applicant’s name on each entry form. Entries received after the closing date cannot be guaranteed to be processed. It helps if a single cheque covers all entries made by the same Applicant. Acknowledgements will be issued in April. Ballot Slips with class dates, times and venues, will be issued early May. Applicants are asked to check them carefully. If possible, please provide an email address for these. Please remember that the Festival administration is provided by volunteers. Please help them by completing your entry form as clearly and accurately as possible. All enquiries should be made by email to the Secretary at [email protected] or by calling 07437 962351 CHILD AND VULNERABLE ADULT PROTECTION It is important that teachers and parents entering children in the Festival understand that Festival staff are charged with the smooth running of events and will not act in loco parentis. Responsibility for the care and supervision of children - defined for this purpose as persons under 18 years of age - lies with their parents or with other adults to whom their parents have entrusted them, both while they are performing and at all other times during the Festival. Similarly, Festival staff will not take responsibility for the care and supervision of vulnerable adults who, if appropriate, should be accompanied to, and during the Festival. Teachers have a particular responsibility to ensure that the parents of children they are entering for the Festival are aware of this policy.
