Andrew Strauss OBE
Andrew is one of only 3 England Captains ever to
lead England to Ashes victories home and away.
Andrew scored over 7,000 Test runs and played 100
Tests, captaining England in 50 Tests and leading
England to number 1 position in the World. Other
achievements saw him nominated for ‘BBC Sports
Personality of the Year’ twice and being granted the
‘Freedom of the City of London’.
Andrew has a great deal to share with business leaders on his experiences,
strategies and planning around his own position as Leader of the England
Team ... and most importantly how this can be used in Business.
Andrew has written several books on his professional career including
‘Winning the Ashes Down Under: The Captain’s Story’ and ‘Driving Ambition’.
Andrew has come to realise through his studies, networking and running

Mark is a sports psychologist who divides his time
between working with the England cricket team
and being Head of Sports Psychology at the English
Institute of Sport.
The art of sport psychology is to simplify people’s
thinking to its absolute minimum—get all the noise
out of their heads so that they can stay in the present moment, nonjudgementally. We call it ‘staying in the bubble’. When you’re in the bubble,
you’re not thinking about very much except the one thing you need to
do and the same applies to business. Outside of his work with the EIS,
Mark is also a performance coach working in other high-performance
environments such as business, health and education.
