AMERICAN LEGION FAMILY June,July,August -2015 Quarterly Newsletter Commanders Colum President Colum Legionaries Thank you Davies-Crook American Legion Post 76 for the honor of being your Commander for the 205/2016 Membership year. I have served in the Army from 19681971, truck driver for 40 years, joined the American Legion in 2005, I am a Son’s of The American Legion member as well I am an American Legion Rider. I would like to lead our post into a good relationship with the community and to help with how the community views our Post, and to boost the numbers in our membership. Also get more members to be active in our Post. I ask that everyone help Post 76 be the beat Post in Kansas as I believe that we have a great Post and as a family, we can do a great job. I would like ideas from our members on how we can better improve our membership. Our Auxiliary is one of the beat , and I want to thank Duwayne Johnson for the great job that he has done for Our 2014/2015 membership year as Post Commander. I also want to thank Damon Christensen for the many years as our Post Adjutant and the many covers that he wares. Hello Ladies! Your Commander Harry Morrison I would like to thank all of those who have donated their time and food for bingo & funerals. It will help to make my year as President a great success. The Fourth of July is coming upon us very quickly and we need all the donations and support we can get, so we can have a beautiful display this year. So, talk to all of your friends to help out. We still have Hamburger Night every Monday evening starting at 5:30pm, to 7pm. Hope to see you there. Thank you for your support. ALR DIRECTOR COMMENT Greetings to the American Legion Family. ALR has been busy with a ride on Aril 19th to the Motorcycle Museum in Marquette, Ks. And our dinner ride to Vining April 25th was canceled dew to bad weather. Post 76 had a benefit Poker run May 9th witch the ALR helped with Coming up in May— June— Saturday, May 30th the ALR will ride to Wichita, Ks. June 12 & 13 the State Rally will be in Mulvane, Ks. The Belleville Car/Bike Show is the 19 &20 of June.
