Welcome to Artexpo New York’s Rising Artist Gallery. I am Brent Higginson, the Art Coordinator of the Rising
Artist Gallery and would like to welcome you on behalf of our team. I look forward to assisting you with your
exhibiting process and questions. If you are a first time exhibitor it may seem a little overwhelming but rest
assured we have everything you will need to help guide you through all the steps to making your exhibition a
most memorable and hopefully a very successful experience. My contact information is directly below so feel

DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT
Artexpo has selected Phoenix International Business
Logistics, Inc. for assistance on shipping arrangements, brokerage, customs clearance and local transportation.

or US/Canadian.
Shipments received without individual/carrier receipts
or freight bills, such as UPS, Federal Express, Express
mail, etc., will be delivered to your booth without
guarantee of piece count or condition. Show Management and Port Parties will assume no liability for
such shipments. Remember that UPS and Fed-ex may
not wait in freight lines when they arrive at Pier 94
to make the delivery. If possible, we recommend that
you avoid using these types of carriers.

DIRECT SHIPPING
Freight Receiving will be open on Tuesday April 21st
and Wednesday April 22nd between the hours of
8AM - 4:30PM. Any shipment arriving outside the
designated hours will be turned away. All shipments
must be sent PREPAID, collect shipments will not be
accepted.

PACKING ARTWORK FOR RETURN
All art will be packed and shipped by the staff at
Artexpo New York unless you are planning on attending the show, representing your artwork and would
prefer to pack it yourself.
EXHIBITORS SHIPPING MATERIALS AND ARTWORK
Port Parties has been appointed the official Material
Handling Contractor for Artexpo New York 2015.
Port Parties has the responsibility of receiving and
handling all exhibit materials and empty crates. It is
their responsibility to manage docks and schedule
vehicles for the smooth and efficient move-in and
move-out of the show. Port Parties will not be responsible for material they do not handle!
Crates, boxes, and packing materials must be re-
moved from booths and stored during the show. No
empty crates or boxes can be used as display counters
or props unless they are chemically treated to resist
flame. Please place small containers inside larger ones
to facilitate storage. Once your containers are ready
for storage you need to place one “EMPTY” sticker on
each container. EMPTY Stickers will be provided at the
Exhibitor’s Service Desk. Port Parties will come to your
booth and remove all containers that have an empty
sticker. The containers will be returned at the close of
the show. Your cooperation in keeping the aisles clear
to facilitate the moving of containers is appreciated.

any damages which occur in Shipping or on-site.
POV (PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES) –
REQUIRING A DOCK OR ASSISTANCE:
If you are driving a POV, you will need to check-in at
the marshalling yard. Port Parties will have personnel
in the area to direct you to the appropriate unloading area. Upon arrival there will be labor available to
unload your vehicle and transport to your booth. This
material handling service is included as part of your
booth package. Unloading or reloading of any freight
into the exhibit hall by any and all privately owned
vehicles and contracted carriers will be handled by
Port Parties.
POV (PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES) – HAND CARRY:
If you are driving a POV that does not require a dock
or assistance, you will be permitted to drive up the
main ramp in front of the Pier. The ramp area is first
come/first serve. Port Parties personnel will be monitoring the area and enforcing an unloading/loading
time limit of approximately 20 minutes. A licensed
driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.
RETURN OF EMPTY CRATES
Port Parties will begin returning empties on Sunday,
April 26th after the show closes at 6:00PM and when
the exhibit hall is clear of attendees (Approximately

one hour after the close of show).
The return of crates and cartons can be a lengthy process. During the wait time, you may take your artwork
off the wall and get your materials ready to pack.
PLEASE PLAN YOUR TRAVEL ACCORDINGLY.
FORCED FREIGHT
All freight must be removed from the exhibit hall by
11AM on Monday, April 27th. Freight arrangements
must be made to comply with this deadline. Show
Management will make shipping arrangements for
any remaining freight, to be returned to the best
available address by the official show carrier at prevailing rates charged to the exhibitor.
HANGING/LABELING INSTRUCTIONS
All packaging material will be stored during the show
and reused after the show for return packaging.
Artexpo will provide all wall hooks, mounting material
and plastic covers for artist’s biography and price tags.
• Price tags are to be created by the Artist in the size
of 4”x 3”
• Included on the tag should be :
Title, Artist, Price and Size
• Price tags need to be able to be pinned to the wall
• A biography created by the Artist in a 8 ½” x 11”
format to be hung on the wall.
