10 Fundraising Ideas for SFC

 10 Fundraising Ideas for SFC
1. Envelopes
a. Number 100 envelopes 1 to 100. Place all numbered envelopes
on a board in the lobby or foyer of the church. Present SFC to
your church and ask individuals or families to pick up an
envelope and donate the amount written on their envelope. For
example, if someone picks up 35, then they would turn in $35.
Give the congregation a designated time to return the
envelopes.
2. Teen Auction
a. Have each member of your youth group be auctioned off to a
member of your congregation. After the youth group member
works for their sponsor, they’ll receive the designated amount.
3. Move-A-Thon
a. Choose an activity to receive sponsorships. For example, bike
ride, walk-a-thon, rock-a-thon, etc.
4. Monthly Lunch
a. Select one Sunday every month during the SFC Campaign and
host a church wide lunch. Charge per person or take donations.
5. Rummage Sale
a. Collect items from members in your church or neighborhood to
host a rummage sale. Choose a date, promote the event and
host the sale at your church.
6. Local Business Opportunities
a. Locate local businesses for fundraising opportunities. For
example, carhop at Sonic, wait tables at local restaurants, clean
offices, pancake breakfasts, bag groceries, Yellow book phone
book delivery, etc.
7. Restaurant Discount Cards
a. Contact restaurants your church frequently visits. Ask them to
participate in a discount card sold to the public. Design, print
and sell cards with your church logo, restaurant logo and
discount information.
8. Coin Carwash
a. Host a carwash in your community. Have youth group members
collect sponsorships. For example, one student would ask
sponsors for 25 cents per car he/she washes. Also consider
contacting local car dealerships to wash cars for designated
amount.
9. Tournaments
a. Host a tournament and charge per team or entry. For example,
basketball, ping pong, corn hole, horseshoe, flag football, etc.
10. Date night
a. Host a youth group sponsored dinner for all couples in your
church. Cater or cook the food, set a ticket price and arrange
entertainment. Offering babysitting services will also be
beneficiary.
