Beaded Earrings - or flower motifs
C 2010 Jennifer Williams
The beads in these earrings are added using three different methods on the ball thread, on the shuttle thread and added to long picots using
a safety pin to hold them in place ready to be joined to the following
chain.
Some of the beads are strung before you wind your shuttle,5 of them
will be moved over to the shuttle thread before starting ring 'A' .
The beads on the ball thread are moved up in groups of 3 (3B) on the
chains.
More beads are added to the ball thread, using a fine crochet hook, and held in place with a safety pin
then joins are worked, later in the pattern, to the small loop left when the pin is removed.
Requirements:
Size 20 thread, 88 size 9/11 beads (44 per earring), two safety pins, 2 jump rings, 2 earring hooks,
a 0 .4 crochet hook and the usual tatting equipment.
String 20 beads then wind about 1 metre onto your shuttle leaving the beads on the ball thread. Do not cut.
Bring 5 beads up into a ring round you hand ready to start with ring 'A'.

Work a second earring then block. You may wish to stiffen the earrings.
Note; the instructions given are for the earrings where the beads are all of one colour.
The photo of the flower motif is to illustrate how the pattern can be adapted.
