3 business divisions and 10 manufacturing/logistic
plants worldwide; 6 in Italy, 1 in Brazil, 1 in India, 1 in
USA, 1 in Spain. Founded in 1973, Athena sales trend
is steadily growing and from 65 Mln/€ of 2011 and 72
Mln of 2012, at the end of 2013 the group achieved
the goal of 86 Mln/€ sales. Rated 1 as maximum
reliability index of D&B, Athena employees worldwide
over 600 employees, 450 of them in Italy.
Athena works very close with motorcycles and
recreational vehicles’ manufacturers as a quality
supplier of turn-key services and products for electronic
fuel injection engines. Athena is a leading manufacturer
of ”ECU” electronic control unit’s and offers a complete
service of design and development besides the supply of
all components for the electronic fuel injection systems.
Athena develops hardware, software, firmware
and thanks to the state of the art prototyping and
testing equipments, all strategies are individually
controlled and designed in house in order to meet any
customer’s requirement.
Athena motorsport division is also available for

Research &
Development
Athena supports its customers during all phases
of design and development of electronic fuel injection
systems, by performing calibration on static and dynamic
benches, climatic chamber and endurance tests by using
specific equipments.
Once the testing and development are performed,
Athena assists the customer during the approval phase
of the vehicle according to the relevant regulations.
The overview of an entire project is often the main
factor of its success. Already during the project phase, the
identification of the cost is a key success factor. Athena
assists its customers during the design of electronic and
mechanical parts of the application, respecting the cost
estimation and manufacturing lead times that have been
commonly agreed. The flexibility of hardware and firmware
solutions provides the customers with fast customized
applications and guides them in all development phases up
to mass production.
Athena offers Hi-Tech & Hi-Performance solutions
as well as complete electronic systems for low cost OEM
application typical of emerging markets.

GPA Technology
Athena has developed and obtained a Patent for a
unique power control system, the GPA (Get Power
Assistance). This system manages in a dynamic
and automatic way the right amount of power
required in order to obtain safe driving conditions
whilst maintaining maximum performance.
The GPA works completely without any additional
sensors on the vehicle, such as wheel speed
sensors.
