ASEAN YOUTH FRIENDSHIP NETWORK
CU – AYFN
ASEAN SCIENCE CAMP 2015
BANGKOK, 7 – 14 JUNE 2015
OVERVIEW
We have realized the importance of student preparation for the ASEAN Community
in 2015, especially in terms of academic strength and collaboration. We would like to
organize scientific lectures and workshops in the following ASEAN-distinctive science topics
below to help facilitating the knowledge sharing, strengthening the scientific knowledge, and
establishing the ASEAN science youth network among ASEAN students:
(1) Environmental problems
(2) Natural disaster management
(3) Biodiversity
Beside the preparation for the academic strength, the understanding of other ASEAN
cultures, social values and languages are also another important factor for the success of
ASEAN Community 2015. Therefore, Center for International Cooperation Promotion,
Faculty of Science together with ASEAN Youth Friendship Network (AYFN) decide to
organize CU-AYFN ASEAN Science Camp 2015, allowing Thai and ASEAN students in
various majors to interactively learn about science, and at the same time, to exchange cultures
and languages and improve their English communication skills.
OBJECTIVES
1) To provide an opportunity for CU and ASEAN students to learn, exchange, share and
discuss their ideas and knowledge on the scientific topics of climate change and
natural disaster management, food safety and biodiversity.
