Dear Parents & Carers
To keep you updated, in relation to the recruitment of a new Head
teacher for Bernards Heath, an advertisement is currently running online
in the Times Educational Supplement and at teachinherts.com until 1st
May. To the extent we receive any applications, the Governors will be
shortlisting the candidates on 8th May and interviews will take place on
14th May. Our Hertfordshire Improvement Partner will be part of the
interview panel, with myself and two other governors.
I will of course keep you informed.
Kind regards
Nicola Lloyd Chair Of Governors

Congratulations to the Newly-Weds!
We had 2 teacher
weddings during the holidays. Miss Kambo has returned as Mrs Jagyasi
and Miss Meadows as Mrs Pengelly. Congratulations to them both!
PTA NEWS……..The next meeting is on 12th May when we will be continuing to prepare for the
Summer Fair as well as planning the other events for the summer term. Please come along if you can as
we always need lots of volunteers to help out with the Summer Fair.
SAVE THE DATE…
Our popular family camping event will be the weekend of the 17 July.
Letters will be going out soon with more information on. This is always very popular and sells out very
quickly so replies will need to be returned ASAP.
DIARY DATES….

Congratulations Miss Poole!
If you have spoken to Miss Poole in Spencer Class
this week you might have noticed that her once
very long hair has been cut and she has donated it
to the Little Princess Trust so that it can be made
into wigs for children who have lost their hair
through illness.
Resources on the Playground
During half term we re-organised the toys and
resources on the playground so that the children have
a much wider variety to play with at lunchtimes and
the Lunchtime Assistants don’t have so many boxes to
move around each day.
The consequences of this are that:
Þ
You will see many blue plastic covers on this
equipment to keep it in one place and dry
Þ
The children should not be using these

resources before or after school
The play houses were also re-organised in the holidays
with new furniture and resources. Next week there
will be photographs of the equipment that should be
in each house to help the children keep it tidy—if
your children are in the play houses before school
please make sure that they tidy up before going to
into class.
The play houses and climbing equipment should
not be used after school as they have been
tidied ready for the next school day.
Collecting from After School
Activity Clubs
We apologise for any inconvenience but from
next Monday 27 April, parents will no longer be
able to use the school car park to collect the
children from after school clubs.
The car park is too busy at this time with deliveries,
visitors and staff in vehicles and it would be very
unfortunate to have an accident here.
Please park off site on either Sandridge Road, Seymour
Road or Archers Fields. Thank you.
