What’s on offer?
This year, the Generation UK – China campaign is offering a new opportunity: a Summer School in
Ningbo, run jointly by the British Council and the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
You have the opportunity to come to Ningbo, China for three weeks, and learn all about China’s
rapid development as a world power. Topics include the role of media and culture and China’s
political system, alongside Mandarin language classes, field trips and cultural classes such as
calligraphy or Kung Fu. The last week will revolves around company visits, and the completion of a
team-based business project, to immerse you fully in the Chinese business world.
The funding covers all your tuition fees (including field trips and cultural classes), accommodation,
insurance, and breakfast/lunch for the first two weeks. Please see our website

We also offer other academic scholarships for between 5 and 12 months of study in China, which
are currently open for application. These cover your tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly living
