DEMOLITION DERBY
DRIVER AND ONE (1) MECHANICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE FAIR GROUNDS AT NO CHARGE.
DRIVER WITH TWO (2) CARS WILL BE ALLOWED A TOTAL OF FOUR PASSES AT NO
CHARGE.
ANY OTHER PERSONS IN THE VEHICLES WILL BE CHARGED TO ENTER THE FAIR AND
CHARGED TO WATCH THE DERBY.
THE FEE FOR THE DERBY IS $8.00 FOR THE AFTERNOON SHOW AND $10.00 FOR THE
EVENING SHOW.
CHILDREN UNDER 12 Afternoon are $3.00
CHILDREN UNDER 12 Evening are $3.00

All Drivers and Mechanics must read over the rules and regulations and in the interest of safety, the Drivers and Mechanics must obey the following set of
rules and regulations set up by the Promoter and Track Officials where the event is being held.
Drivers must be 21 years of age OR they must have a notarized minor’s release, signed by the parent or guardian.
Only drivers, owners, mechanics, etc. who sign the release sheet, will be permitted in the pit area and allowed to compete in the events.
Officials reserve the right to accept or reject any and all applications.
Contestants of the Demolition Derby are not employees of E & M Productions or the Fair Association where the events are held but are independent
contractors.
The Promoters, Tract owners, or Fair Association will not be held responsible for any cars, parts, or personal property before, during or after the event or
overnight. All cars must be off the grounds on the same day of the event, unless told differently.
NO DRINKING of alcoholic beverages by driver or crew during events. The conduct of driver or crew can disqualify the driver from the events.
ENTRIES: At Fairs having 1 DEMO, no more than 2 cars can be entered by one person in separate boats. Fairs having 2 DEMOS, 2 cars can be entered in
each Demo by the same person.

Any American made hardtop automobile or station wagon is allowed. No trucks, convertibles, jeeps, hearses, or limousines are allowed.
Compact Car Rules:
a.
Maximum Weight, 2550 lbs.
b. Gas tank rule same as other cars
c.
No 4 wheel drive cars (they can be made into a 2 wheel drive).
Batteries can be inside the car, in a battery box, properly secured to the floor in the front or in the rear seat area of the passenger side. Only 1 battery
permitted.
All dirt and loose pieces must be swept out of car. No tires, wheels or metal parts, etc. allowed in the car.
Regular gas tank will be replaced with a made-up tank not to exceed from 5 to 8 gallons of gas. Tank material MUST NOT BE LESS THAN 20
GAUGE and NO HEAVIER THAN 1/8”. This tank must be securely fastened with straps or bolted in the same area as the original tank. No 5 gallon
cans or similar cans will be allowed UNLESS they are made of material of at least 20 gauge. Example. Army type 5 gallon gas cans will be allowed.
Any tank in question will be at the discretion of the officials only. Stay in the above guidelines.
No special bumpers or any reinforcements will be allowed. Cars with plastic bumpers must have front and rear bumpers removed. NO bumper swaps.
NO welding bumpers or brackets. Extra bolts can be used to hold bumpers on.
Roll over bars are allowed but not required.
Windshields may be in or not. All other glass will be removed: side windows, head and tail lights side markers.
All moldings must be removed, any sharp Fins protruding must be cut off or mashed down.
Rear seat lower cushions can be removed, rear seat back must remain.
Radiators must be in their original position or they can be removed, the fan may also be removed. No water tanks allowed.
Hood changes: One of the following 2 changes must be used. 1.) Locks, catches and springs can remain intact if a 8” – 10” square of diameter hole is
cut over the top of the carburetor; 2.) Or the removal of the locks, catches, and springs and install a chain so that the hood can be 4”-6” in case of fire.
Hoods, trunk lids, tail gates cannot be welded because of inspection. After inspection, trunk lids and tail gates may be wired or chained down, the hood
changes are stated in #12.
All doors must be fastened shut by wire, straps, and chains or welded for driver’s safety.
Engines may be chained down, fenders may be cut for wheel clearance only as well as bumper ends.
No obscene language written on cars allowed.
Cars must be able to be turned off with key or on-off switch.

Running & Event Safety:

Safety belts and approved helmet are required; if windshield is removed, goggles or face shield are also required.
NO DELIBERATE head-on collisions or hitting of the driver’s door.
A vehicle will be disqualified if the driver’s door comes open or if the gas tank ruptures.
A 2-minute limit will be enforced by track officials; competitive contact must be made within this time period or the car in question will be considered “sand
bagging”.
Any questions arising at an event not covered in these rules and regulations will be decided at the event by officials. Car removal will be explained at pit
meeting.
All drivers must wear goggles or face shields.
Weekday shows: All cars must be sign in ½ hour before show time. If not, there will be a charge of $10.00 extra on top of regular entry fee.
Weekend shows: All cars must be signed in 1 hour before show time. If not, there will be a charge of $10.00 extra on top of regular entry fee.
Best appearing car will receive $80.00 for fair with one show and $40.00 each night with two shows.

Cars with fuel injection and that have fuel pump in the tank may leave original fuel tank in car but must have added straps. Tank is limited to 5 gallons of
gas.
Cars must have stock suspension and must be level and stock height.
You cannot run over-sized tires.
No Imperials
Mini Vans will be allowed (same rules)
Compact Trucks will be allowed (same rules)
Frames must be stock; cannot be altered or reinforced. If there is any welding on frame for repair or rust, it needs to be inspected.
Doors, trucks and hoods – no bolting. If welding door, welds cannot be more than 3” in length. Same for trunks with a maximum of 2 welds.
NO threaded rod through hood to frame.
NO bolts in trunk.
NO shaping or bending of bodies, bumpers or crimping of side panels. If you qualify with the car for a feature, this does not apply.
NO gas lines inside of car.
Jeeps, SUVs and mall trucks (S-10, Ranger) will run with the mini vans.
