Screen-Free Week at BPS starts Monday, May 18th!
Dear Parent/Guardian
Brookside Place School will hold its annual screen-free week Monday, May 18 – Friday, May 22nd. Screen-free week is a national
movement that encourages children and families to pledge to turn off TVs, tablets and video games and turn on other fun activities.
To encourage participation, local businesses are offering coupons and special sessions including Hyatt Hill Mini Golf, Hands of Life
Martial Arts, Alleum Yoga and Garwood Lanes. Vanilla Bean Creamery, Rustic Mill Diner, Edible Arrangements and Tony’s Café are
also offering coupons to participating BPS Families during the week.
We will be organizing some FREE group activities such “Brookside Blanket Bingo” and a Hands of Life martial arts class and demo at
BPS as well as a FREE kid’s yoga class at Alleum studio.
We will be setting up a sign-up table outside the cafeteria during lunch on Thursday, May 14th to encourage sign-up. Your child will
receive a packet with a schedule and coupons. They’ll also receive a small gift for pledging. You may also sign up your child by
