Week beginning April 27h Issue 11 Tom Skates to International Success ACTIVITIES Monday Lunchtime- Year 8 Indoor Cricket After School– Athletics Tuesday Lunchtime- Gymnastics On the 26th April the England Under 15 Ice Hockey Team travelled to the 2015 Torino Internazionale Mountain Cup Challenge at the Ice Palace Tazzoli in Turin, Italy. However this England team featured a Welsh Ice Hockey wizard. Tomos Dicker, who plays for the Cardiff Junior Devils, was one of two Welsh boys selected to join the England team. Over four days of competition the team played 6 international matches, winning 5 of games. This saw the team progress to a nail biting final where they eventually emerged victorious over the Valpellice Bulldogs 3 goals to 1. Tom, in his England kit, shows off his trophy. As such there is no Welsh Junior Ice Hockey set up and Tom has done very well to gain international honours with England. This was a proud moment for the coaches and parents as it was the first time an Under15 team has won a tournament away from home. Well done boys, a well deserved victory. Tom trains and plays up to four times a week in The Big Blue Tent in Cardiff and hopes to play for the senior Cardiff Devils team in the future.
