Support to Export Food Hotel China, Shanghai, China 11 – 13 November 2015 Join Food and Drink Wales to take part in Food and Hotel China (FHC) – the leading international food and drink trade event in China. The exhibition targets buyers of quality imported products for the retail and foodservice and in 2014 attracted more than 33,000 trade visitors and 1,820 exhibitors. The event is an opportunity for Welsh companies seeking to both identify new opportunities in China and to further develop existing trade in the region. Based on UK Food and Drink export statistics for 2013 the Chinese Market grew 82% to £201m – moving up to become the 11th largest market and second largest non-EU market and it is anticipated to continue to grow significantly, driven by increasing disposable income, urbanisation and a growing taste for international food. Exhibition Package Travel and Accommodation / Trade Mission Costs for eligible Welsh Food and Drink companies are subsidised by the Welsh Government. Costs for participating: £800 for eligible companies, towards accommodation and return flights, when booked through the appointed travel agent. The Welsh Government will support one representative per company to participate on a trade mission and two representatives per company to participate on an exhibition.
