E-mail: [email protected] Abstract Fine and Applied Art, such as visual arts, music, performing art, and design, means creation of works consisting of three factors of inspiration which are nature, environment, and emotion. Normally, Fine and Applied Art is divided into two types as the following: 1. Fine Arts and 2. Applied Arts which both types are concerned about the objective of how to apply art to reality. People usually appreciate the word of “Fine and Applied Arts and Pure Arts” as an aesthetic beauty, the result of happiness, joyful, cheerful from only the sense of seeing, hearing and listening. According to the attitude above, this is a point of view to interpret “Arts” as an individual – aesthetic object more than the quality of art work, considering of the worth in the aspect of freezing, being motionless, being narrow – minded, and being stretch without a power extended. The characteristics of both Fine and Applied Arts and Pure Arts have an unexpected influence on human being and society. The power of effect will present in both visible, touchable, and usable format and invisible, untouchable, and imaginable format in each art work depending on characteristic and specific utilization. However, Fine and Applied Art’s creative work can be presented as an object, visual art work, design, music, and performing art in the diverse levels such as world class, national level, and regional level. Each level has specific characteristic, identity, and multiculturalism to present its own aesthetic beauty, presentation, and specific creativity to be existing in the region, nation, and world. On the other hand, Postmodern Art, the process of thought such as philosophy, method, lateral thinking and infinity thinking reflecting to the meaningful of international, is totally different from Modern Art. In addition, thinking process of national and local Fine and Applied arts field is linked to the method and cultural tradition of each society and country. Moreover, the cooperation within the local area to create a brotherhood, such as local tradition ravish harvest and Thai folk dance, is the main factor to push forward the path of Arts in the region. Nowadays, global Fine and Applied Arts tends to revolute other types of Arts (national-regional) to be the same international standard. As the revolution, “democracy, freedom, and development” motivate the ideas of Fine and Applied Arts creation and the development of artists in each country and region to move forward in the same direction. Global Culture – Global Fine and Applied Arts is capitalism, culture, and economic regulation which is a new theory to fashion. According to this main idea, the communities will forget the prestige of themselves and the real themselves of nation and region. Because consumerism is more fashionable as people perception and what it will happen if people have this attitude. Wider vision and updating the regional way will reflect long lasting regional arts. For instance, Japan has a vision, “West Technology – Japanese Culture”, to develop the country and these two factors create a stronger of Japan development. The motivation to create a power of local Arts is the worth of folk wisdom; but some disappeared from the society and rebuilt in the new different methods. However, the best method to keep and create local community is using “local ligation” method by concept of “Think Locally – Act Globally” or “Think Globally – Act Locally” especially for indigent and developing countries. As the concept method above, creative learning for community is a main factor to preserve local art heritages with higher standard. Conclusion Fine and Applied Arts is a branch of knowledge and easily combining with others to produce a creative work. Normally, people perceive arts as an aesthetic beauty or happiness more than the quality of arts perception which is reflecting to the society and nation. Path of Global Arts has a power to control and give a direction to other kinds of arts.
