FUN-FUN-FUN!!!
Don’t forget we have lots of fun in Marching Band. We play all kinds
of music and have a great time no matter where we are.
HOW MUCH PRACTICE IS INVOLVED?
Spring practices
In the spring we have a mini-camp to learn some new music and
teach the first year members our marching style. We are flexible
with absences for mini-camp as long as we know about conflicts in
advance. In the past, we have scheduled a make-up session for
students involved in sports. The Color Guard and Drumline may
have extra practices in the spring in addition to this.
Band Camp (Summer Practice)
The football season starts with “band camp” which is usually 2
weeks before school starts. Band Camp involves usually two
practices a day at BHS to learn the halftime competition show and
music. We practice outside during the cooler parts of the day and
work on music inside during the heat of the day.
Fall After-School Practice
The Band practices three days a week from the start of school until
our final competition (usually late October/Early November).
A school bus will bring students safely from the 9th grade campus to
BHS. We practice less total time than most athletic teams do.
Your have spent a ton of money buying an instrument. You have spent a
ton of time learning how to play that instrument. Don’t miss your chance to
see it all pay off by becoming part of the award winning
REBEL REGIMENT MARCHING BAND!
