The mission of the Certified Safety and Security Officer Program is to assist in improving the professional preparedness of public and community transportation
officers, and to maximize their ability to provide safe and secure transit service.

Workshop participants will learn how to conduct interviews and employ techniques useful in
identifying and addressing all the benchmarks found in the FTA’s program’s eight critical areas.
