• During the two-day Symposium, there are over 30 speaker sessions highlighting various careers.
• Each session features a 20 minute presentation and a 10 minute question and answer period.
• Speaker Sessions provide firsthand accounts of “A Day in the Life” of selected careers. They describe a
typical day – its challenges, opportunities and how the speaker found the industry.
• Choose one of the presentations per time slot, No pre-registration required.

Visit the Career Discovery activity centre and learn about exciting careers in the
world of modern manufacturing in Manitoba!
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
With hands-on activities, each activity station will simulate a step in the manufacturing
cycle. Students will begin with design, moving then to experience and learn about the
many steps of the build process and what it takes to complete a project in the final
assembly phase.
Career Discovery showcases a variety of workplace technologies and high demand careers available in the modern world
of manufacturing; all while having the opportunity to talk with industry professionals.

The 6th Annual Engineering Innovation Challenge invites you to design, build and test models to win great prizes!
Past challenges have had students building catapults to launch marshmallows, towers to support large amounts of
weight, a structure to protect a dropped egg, and more!
Sign up before 11:00 am at the Innovation Challenge Information booth located on the 3rd Floor of the Convention
Centre April 21th & 22th. The challenge runs from 11:30 - 12:30 Look for the hanging sign.
