Media Release April 2015 - Curtis Coast Literary Carnivale

Media Release 27/03/2015
When you think of the greatest treehouse in the universe, who do you think of? We know one author who
has made the ultimate treehouse dream a reality for readers of all ages. The Curtis Coast Literary Carnivale,
Gladstone Regional Libraries and Brisbane Writers Festival are excited to announce that Andy Griffiths is
coming up to Gladstone and he is bringing his treehouse with him!
This July, Andy will be visiting Gladstone to celebrate books, reading, drawing, rocket powered carrotlaunchers, and of course, treehouses!
Andy Griffiths is one of Australia’s most popular children’s authors, best known for The
Treehouse, the Just! books and The Day My Bum Went Psycho. Over the last 20 years Andy’s books have
won more than 50 Australian children’s choice awards, frequented the New York Times bestseller lists, and
been adapted for the stage and television. Andy, a passionate advocate for literacy, is an ambassador for
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation and The Pyjama Foundation.
