BEYOND WINS BEST OUTDOOR STAND AT INDABA 2015 May

&BEYOND WINS BEST OUTDOOR STAND AT INDABA 2015
May 2015
Leading luxury experiential travel company &Beyond has once again been
awarded the Best Outdoor Stand at Indaba 2015, held in Durban from 9 to 11
May. True to &Beyond’s core ethos of Care of the Land, Care of the Wildlife,
Care of the People, the stand, which was designed by Fox Browne Creative,
boasts a sustainable theme and is constructed predominantly of
environmentally friendly material. With all wood selected for its sustainable
farming credentials, all furniture used on the stand is to be recycled for use
on other &Beyond projects
In keeping with &Beyond’s renowned brand of warm hospitality, the food
served on the stand celebrated each of the company’s lodges and the
regions in which they are situated, with a focus on organically grown and
artisanal ingredients.
&Beyond’s focus at Indaba this year was on its continuing investments into
its award-winning safari camps and lodges. The company’s stand featured
images of the recently refurbished &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
in Botswana and &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp in Kenya, as well as
sneak previews of &Beyond Benguerra Island in Mozambique, which is due to
reopen in June 2015. As with the stand, &Beyond has focused on the use of
sustainable energy at the refurbished lodges, with the inclusion of solar
energy plants.
In addition to the refurbishments, &Beyond continues to focus on the guest
experiences at its lodges, not only maintaining its famously high guiding
standards but increasing the training of lodge teams to become a truly lodge
and guide-led business. &Beyond has also put substantial effort into ensuring
the quality of its touring operations in Africa and South Asia and continues
to develop specialist safaris, including photographic, birding and walking
tours. The company has also invested heavily in the development of family
suites to cater for the ongoing trend of multigenerational travel. With a
continuing focus on conservation, not only is &Beyond involved in the Rhinos
Without Borders translocation project in partnership with Great Plains
Conservation, but it is constantly providing more opportunities for its guests
to take part in its conservation and community work.
