Smart Schools Award!
Congratulations to Mr. Pedersen and Mr. Mannix, along with the CHS
Green Club, for receiving the Smart Schools Award! They received their
award from our Lieutenant Governor on Earth Day. With
the $1,000 award, they want to outfit more water fountains
in the building with water filters and dispensers for water
bottles. The water bottle dispenser in the Main Foyer has
been in for nearly a week and has already saved nearly
1,000 plastic bottles! The one by the gym has been in for a
while and has saved 34,000 plastic bottles. Congratulations! In addition to the grant, Student Council has raised $3,000 to help
fund the water fountain project to help get them in all floors of the building.
