Monday
Grades K-1 – Ballet
For beginners and experienced dancers alike, learn the basics of ballet, including
stretching, music, and dance vocabulary. Each class includes a mini-performance
and creative dance games to fire up the imagination. Taught with lots of
encouragement and gentle guidance, this is the perfect class for budding prima
ballerinas! Movement clothes required.
Grades K-2 – Beginning Chess
An introduction to the exciting world of chess. Students will learn basic opening,
middle game, and end game strategies and how to achieve a proper coordination
of pieces. Instruction will establish an appropriate balance between lecture,
discussion and structured play. Chess puzzles, planning and guided games will
also be a fun part of this class!
Grades 1-3 – Art Studio
This is a visual arts class with an emphasis on creativity, invention and fun!
Young artists will learn to recycle paper to make collage greeting cards, invent
bead jewelry of unique design, and decorate and re-use old things to make candle
holders, mirrors, secret boxes and more. Students will cut, paint, draw, stitch,
glue and sculpt – and turn trash into treasures! Whatever the students create will
be a unique expression of their creativity.
Grades 2-4 – Global Music
This class celebrates the cultures of the world through music! Students will learn the
basics of dynamics, tempo, pitch, melody, beat and rhythm while traveling the globe.
Through different cultures' stories, celebrations, and traditions, we’ll bring the world
to our classroom! Let's go around the world together through music!
Grades 3-5 – Super Soccer Stars $25 Insurance Fee
Come and learn about the world’s most popular sport in this fun and active class.
Super Soccer Stars will teach you basic skills, warm-ups and tips on how to keep
fit. So sign up, build your self-confidence and become part of the Super Soccer
Stars team!
Grades 3-5 – Broadway Dance Studio
This class covers not one, not two, but THREE forms of dance! Dancers will learn the
styles of jazz, tap, and musical theatre dance in this dynamic class that teaches basic
dance while also exploring what makes each of these forms unique.

Grade K – Lego Creations: Brick Art $15 Materials Fee
Legos just got even more fun! In this class, students experience the excitement of
Legos and learning! This class will introduce teamwork, observation, creative
thinking and problem-solving skills all while encouraging the use of creativity and
imagination to build the most amazing creations!
Grades K-1 – Yogamotion
Breathe deeply. Meditate. Stretch. Move! Through the ancient art of yoga,
students will gain flexibility and have the freedom to dance and explore creative
movement. They will have the ability to find balance and focus that will help
them throughout the school year.
Grades 1-2 – Pop Choir
Is music in your soul? Then sing it! In this class, students will learn what it
takes to be part of a chorus through learning and performing contemporary pop
songs! All singers will learn harmonies, melodies and the vocal techniques to
sing songs in a healthy, fun way!
Grades 1-3 – Creature Creations
In this hands-on class, students will learn the basics of puppet making and creature
creation. There will be lots of brainstorming and building puppets from foam,
cardboard, lollipops, Styrofoam balls – even fruits and vegetables! Best of all, every
student will get to take their creatures home. The class culminates in a performance
where the audience will see the creatures come to life!
Grades 2-4 – Backstage Design $15 Materials Fee
Students joining this class will have the unique opportunity to learn what takes to
make the spectacle we see on Broadway! From studying actual Broadway sets to
learning how to build their own, this class will provide students with the
opportunity to develop new skills every class!
Grades 3-5 – Athletic Adventures
Ready to get physical? In this class, students will explore different ways to stay
active and have tons of fun! This class will include aspects of yoga, cardiotraining, and lots of team games as well as individual challenges. Activities will
focus on advancing skills like balance, agility, strength, endurance and flexibility.
Grades 4-5 – Art of Comics
Ever wanted Wiley Coyote to catch the Road Runner? Ever thought of a new
cartoon character? Anything is possible in this class as students develop skills in
drawing and creating cartoons. All artists will have the opportunity to turn their
preliminary sketches into colorful characters as they create their own original
comic strip!

Grade K – Crafternoon
Through creative investigations of cultures around the world, students will create
arts and crafts that come alive through performance! From masks and
instruments to puppets and crafts, each project introduces a new way to make art
come alive.
Grades K-1 – Hip Hop
With a combination of old school and new school hip-hop, students will learn
cutting edge street dance movements like popping, locking, hitting, jamming,
electric boogaloo, break and other urban dance moves. This club gives every
student a hip-hop dance experience unlike any other.
Grades K-5 – Karate $25 insurance fee
Seido Karate is an exciting way for young children to learn not only martial arts
techniques, but to also discover time honored karate traditions. The word Seido
means “the sincere way” which has many meanings including the sincere and
compassionate teaching of students. Classes are a wonderful balance of fun,
games and hard work.
**All students must have a uniform. If your child doesn’t own a Karate uniform,
they may purchase one at registration for $30**
Advanced Karate Additional $100 Tuition
For students who are advanced yellow belt and above. Students will spend an
extra half and hour each week perfecting the art of Karate. Dedicated students
train in kumite, advanced kata, meditation, and choreographed fight
combinations.
Grades 2-4 – Fresh Foodies $15 Materials Fee
In this class, students will not only learn about seasonal fruits and vegetables, but
also how to prepare them in fun and creative ways! Each class will end with a
healthy, local, and 100% vegetarian snack made by the students! Students will
even take a trip to a Green Market to speak with farmers and select their own
produce. By the end of the semester, they will have a book of recipes, a beautiful
handmade calendar of seasonal treats, and happy tummies! Creative, nutritious,
and delicious!
Grades 3-5 – 3-D Art
Let’s build! This club is a 3-D visual arts class with an emphasis on creativity, fun and
invention! Students will learn Sculpture - clay, foam, paper, wire; Carving - linoleum,
potatoes, soap; 3-D Printing; Mobile and Collage. Art lessons will be based on
technique, craft media and art history. Whatever the students will make will be a
unique expression of their creativity.

Grades 4-5 – Music & Songwriting

Students will examine the craft of songwriting through the use of poetry,
percussion, and singing. We will write songs as a group and individually, a
compilation of which every student will receive on a CD at the end of the course.
From dragons to trees to their favorite food, students will discover a new medium
to voice whatever they want to get out of their brains.

Grade K – Movin’ & Groovin’
This high-energy class combines rhythm and dance to get everyone movin’ to the
beat! Explore different beats and rhythms, and find new ways to move to the
groove.
Grades K-1 – Toymaker’s Workshop $15 Materials Fee
Have you ever wondered how they make your favorite toys? Let’s find out! In this
hands-on class, we will learn the science behind how toys work and will make and play
with handmade toys.
Grades 1-2 – Mad Science $60 Materials Fee
Calling all mad scientists! This class is full of bizarre experiments guaranteed to
amaze every participant! Every class involves gooey, slimy, scientific fun, most of
which can be taken home from class. Discover how cool science can be in our MAD
SCIENTIST LAB!
Grades 1-3 – Afro-Caribbean Drumming
In this dynamic class, students will be introduced to different Afro-Caribbean
styles of music from Salsa to Merengue to Cha Cha Cha and its influence on
popular music such as Funk, Rap and Hip Hop. Students will learn proper
drumming techniques and rhythms, as well as how to create different tones and
grooves. The class will culminate in a Latin percussion final jam session featuring
the student ensemble!
Grades 2-4 – Super Soccer Stars $25 Insurance Fee

Super Soccer Stars will teach all students basic skills, warm-ups and tips on how
to keep fit. In addition to the physical benefits, this class teaches teamwork and
fosters self-confidence in every athlete!
Grades 3-5 – Advanced Chess
Work towards mastering the art of out-smarting your foe with clever opening
principles and a tough middle game. Through chess, students will learn
concentration, logical thought, planning, pattern recognition, self-discipline, and
taking responsibility for mistakes. Most of all, this class will empower all students
as they learn to maneuver successfully through various minefields.
Grades 4-5 – Knitting $15 Materials Fee
Get ready to “cast on” and start your knitting adventure! In the introduction to
this craft, students will learn how to knit with their fingers, “purl” and “slip
stitch” with needles, and will be on their way to creating their favorite cold
weather accessories! Advanced knitters will learn to make even more intricate
patterns.

Grade K – Fairytale Theatre
Fairies and goblins and elves, oh my! Combining storytelling with theatre, this
creative drama class fosters every student’s imagination. Students will explore classic
fairytales and might even create a few tales of their own, bringing new characters to
life on the stage! This is the perfect class for aspiring actors, playwrights or students
who just love the magic and mystery of fairytales.

Grades 1-3 – Art of Science
In The Art of Science we explore science creatively, using our right brain and all
of our senses. We'll taste the periodic table, discover the science of music and
explore the solar system, space and even dinosaurs through dance, theatre games
and puppetry. We will paint, color and craft experiments that help us understand
friction, force, chemical reactions and so much more! We'll stay clued into science
in the news and of course we'll launch an air rocket or two. This class is perfect
for the creative and the curious.
Grades 1-3 – Edible Art $25 Materials Fee
It's art you can eat! Join us as we make art out of fresh foods, make art inspired
by food, and use our creativity and taste buds to the max! Students will be able to
take home some art projects, and share recipes with their families.
Grades 2-4 – Guitar
An introduction to “strumming the six string.” Learn the names of the strings and
basic chord formations as well as basic music theory. By the end of the class, the
students will be on their way to leading the newest rock or country band!
Grades 3-5 – Fencing $50 Gear Rental Fee
En garde! Learn the art, discipline, and sport of fencing. We will be learning the
basics of sabre fencing technique from footwork, to parries and reposts, to
conducting a bout. We will learn the history of swordplay and even study a bit of
theatrical technique and its differences and similarities to the sport. A very
physical class, be prepared to have fun and learn a lot!
