annual assessment set by the Nassau County Department of Assessment on January 2nd. You do not need to use an attorney
to file a grievance. It takes only a few moments to complete the Application for Correction of Property Tax Assessment.
The filing period is January 2 – March 3, 2014 with the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission.

Shun Li works hard, slowly paying off the broker who bought
her from China to Italy, and tries to save money in order to

a pub along the Venetian Lagoon, a hangout of local fisherman, she meets Bepi, a handsome older Slav immigrant
nicknamed “The Poet.” A tender and delicate friendship
grows between Shun Li and Bepi. But gossip soon threatens
their innocent relationship.

Friday, March 7 from 4:15 to 5:30 PM
Join the YA Librarian and TAB group for a gaming afternoon. We will play popular Wii
video games and board games such as Clue, Monopoly, CSI, Star Wars, Trivial Pursuit.
You are welcome to bring your favorite game to play. For refreshments we’ll serve pizza
and a beverage. Limited registration begins on February 21.

Fleece and save Camp Half-Blood. Refreshments and book trivia will precede the film.

CALDECOTT CHALLENGE
Children in Grades K-5 are eligible to register for Caldecott Challenge, a program designed to review
previous Caldecott winners and compete as teams in comparing and contrasting them. The Caldecott Medal
is awarded each year to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children by the
Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.
