Mountain Biking
Area Information & History
Coram Ranch is located 2 miles below Shasta
Dam on the Sacramento River. The history in
the area offers a vacation into the past. Coram
Ranch sits at the exact location of Coram, a
mining town abandoned in the early 1900’s.
Hiking
Coram Ranch offers some of Northern
California’s best hiking and mountain biking
trails. With a starting elevation of 1,000 feet you
can travel along the majestic Sacramento River or
climb to an elevation of 3,000 feet.
Fishing
The Sacramento River has some of the best
fishing in California within walking distance
from your room. Shasta Lake, located one
mile away, has some of Northern California’s
best trout and bass fishing.
Horseback Riding
For those who would prefer riding to walking, Coram Ranch has horseback riding available on a scheduled basis (includes a guide).
Special kiddie rides available too!
ATV/Motorcycle Trails
Bring your own and use our trails. 1,000’s
of acres to ride on. Trails for beginners to
experts.
Coram Ranch is located on part of Northern California’s premier mountain biking race
area. With trails for the beginner to expert
we offer trails for everyone.

What To Bring
Mornings and evenings at Coram Ranch
can be very cool, so plan accordingly.
The terrain is also very steep if you choose
to hike the higher elevations, so hiking
boots are recommended. Dress is casual
unless you plan to go out to dinner in
Redding. We have mountain bikes and
fishing poles available on a limited basis.
