 POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Programs Project Manager DEPARTMENT: MomentUs REPORTS TO: VP Programs EFFECTIVE DATE: March 31, 2015 ORGANIZATION & PROGRAM BACKGROUND ecoAmerica is a 501(c)(3) non-­‐profit that uses research and strategic partnerships to create large-­‐scale engagement programs that build awareness, understanding and action for climate and sustainability solutions among mainstream Americans. Further information on our organization and programs is available at www.ecoamerica.org. ecoAmerica’s signature campaign, MomentUs, is a strategic organizing initiative designed to build a critical mass of institutional leadership, public support, political will and collective action for climate solutions in the United States. We are developing and empowering a network of trusted leaders and institutions to lead by example and engage their stakeholders to do the same, leading to a shift in society that will put America on an irrefutable path to clean energy, ultimately leading toward a more sustainable and just future. POSITION SUMMARY The Programs Project Manager reports into the VP Programs and works closely with management and Network team and other departments to support development, management and reporting of ecoAmerica strategy, programs and network activities. S/he manages internal systems such as Salesforce, Project Management, and Egnyte, and helps plan and execute projects and events. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties that occupy a major portion of time and importance) Project Management & Project Management Systems (30%) o Inform the design of, and manage the program project management system o Translate strategic and general project plans into specific project management plans. o Maintain overall project planning calendar and master timeline, including key events, milestones, resources, deliverables, and dependencies o Monitor the performance of project plans and report regularly to management and in departmental and organizational meetings o Design and conduct project management training for management and staff CRM Systems and Management (20%) o Develop and maintain CRM (Salesforce) database(s) to ensure product and information updates and enable effective communication with contacts o Create, maintain, and distribute reports on projects and CRM activity o Design and conduct CRM training for management and staff Projects and Events Management and Support (20%) o Plan and produce small scale events, including regular 20-­‐person, on-­‐site meetings as well as regular teleconference-­‐based meetings ! Assist with development and management of event and activity budgets ! Provide timely and accurate financial, timekeeping and logistics data for progress reporting and accountability processes ! Manage vendors; negotiate/review contracts; oversee proposals, logistics, scheduling, shipping, and payments o Support planning and production of board meetings, cocktail parties, hospitality suites, and exhibiting at conferences/trade shows as needed o Support planning and production of medium and larger scale events in collaboration with Marketing team including sector meetings, and an annual cross-­‐sector leadership summit annually Network Leadership and Partner Support (15%) o Support the prospect-­‐to-­‐partner sales cycle for the Network by managing and reporting on the solicitation and recruitment process including the Network reporting dashboard o Maintain content library of Network resources, reports, articles, speeches and presentations, and facilitate development of new/updated resources o Support regular communications to Sector Leadership Circles o Conduct sectoral research General and MomentUs Program Support (15%) o Participate in weekly organizational, network, and marketing team meetings as necessary to monitor and report on progress and o Coordinate with Marketing and Network to support the launch and ongoing management of sector programs o Perform ad hoc duties to support program content and activities, such as desk research, project management, partner coordination o Support ad-­‐hoc projects for the Network Sector Directors QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately) • College degree required • 3-­‐5 years experience as a project manager or within a PMO managing special projects •

Demonstrated experience with project management (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Teamwork), CRM software (Salesforce), and creative and content management platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and digital content management systems Ability to coordinate work products, deliverables and milestones across multiple lines of work Ability to interact and support senior-­‐level leadership contacts Excellent speaking, writing, presenting, and interpersonal skills required Excellent research, planning, organization and efficiency skills Must be flexible, versatile, self-­‐directed, and a creative problem-­‐solver Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, work products, deliverables and milestones across multiple lines of work Interest in climate and environmental solutions and ecoAmerica’s mission Experience or demonstrated capacity with event management including contracts, F&B orders, A/V management, exhibit/sponsor management, onsite logistics, hotel attrition management, speaker management, and event budgets ADA SPECIFICATIONS (Physical demands that must be met in order to successfully complete the essential functions of the job) This position is largely sedentary in nature however one must possess the ability to speak, hear, and write as well as the ability to use a computer and related software programs, and lift up to 35 lbs. Regional and national travel required (up to 20 percent).
