Newsletter 18th May 2015 - Elston Hall Primary School

SUMMER TERM 2015
Issue 2 - Monday 18th May 2015
Year 6 Statutory Assessments
Well done to our Year 6 pupils for completing their
SATs—we await the results!
Transitions
Over the coming weeks we will be focusing on
transitions across key stages. As always we will aim
to make the move as easy and worry free as
possible for our children. Children will be spending
time in their new year groups, the year 2 children
will be spending time in the Junior playground and
will also visit Junior assembly. If you have any
concerns or questions about your child’s next steps
in school please do talk to us. There will be
meetings for parents of children moving up into
years 1 and year 3—see the reverse of newsletter
for dates.
Free Eye Tests for Children
Our local opticians, Scrivens, have asked that we
remind parents that eye tests for children are free.
Children should have their eyes tested not only for
vision purposes, but to ensure their eyes are healthy.
Why not book them in!
Scrivens is on Three Tuns Parade

General Reminders
There are some children coming to school without
coats, please send your children with coats, it can be
cold on the playground still whilst we await the
warmer weather!
May we also remind you that everything your child
wears at school should be labelled, a biro on the
existing label is fine. We are finding so many items
of clothes and uniform that are not labelled.
