Earth Week Calendar of Events Week of April 20-24th! Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. Newspaper, phonebooks, clothes, and even toys!) Monday Wednesday NJHS Recyclable Garden Exposition Monday Thursday Staff goes GREEN! Staff can pay a $2.00 donation and may wear green shirt and jeans. Senior class and beautification committee will host “The Lorax” in the gymnasium. Friday Monday Entrance fee: Donation of plastic cups, spoons, gummy worms, Oreo Cookies pack, and/or a bag of white small-sized marshmallows.
