Among the new summer destinations of choice for Côte d'Azur residents is Dubrovnik, the pearl of the
Adriatic, served by the Croatian national airline, Croatia Airlines, from April 10th.
Another summer favourite, Istanbul - Sabiha Gocken, the 2nd Istanbul airport, on the Asian side of the city,
east of the Bosphorus strait, which now complements the service to Turkey out of Nice. In addition to serving
Istanbul, the low-cost operator Pegasus Airlinesallows passengers to reach the very popular destinations on
the Turkish seaside, as well several cities of the Near and Middle East.
The increased frequencies to existing destinations multiply the opportunities for weekend city breaks to Rome
(with Vueling), Amsterdam (easyJet) or even Madrid (Norwegian).
Other new routes and increased frequencies with a high visitor potential, such as Stuttgart (Germanwings),
Liège (VLM) or Tel Aviv (El Al by Sundor), will also bring International holidaymakers to the French Riviera.
Finally, two domestic destinations, Limoges (Chalair) and Châteauroux (IGavion), augment the network of 24
French destinations helping to bring families together or enabling holidays on the French Riviera.
For Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur,
"The air service for the summer of 2015 is remarkable this year, on two counts: on the one hand, it has new,
attractive Mediterranean destinations to vary the holiday offer for Côte d'Azur residents, and on the other, it
continues the development of international routes with high visitor potential, allowing the summer clientèle to
the Côte d'Azur to be renewed each new tourist season."
Nice Côte d'Azur airport is the second airport business in France after Paris, with 11.7 million passengers in 2014, 101 direct destinations
and 56 scheduled airlines serving 34 countries. Outside Paris, it is the only French airport to offer daily flights to New York and Dubai.
Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group manages the Nice Côte d’Azur, Cannes Mandelieu and Golfe de Saint-Tropez airports (since July
2013). It is Europe’s Number 2 business aviation airport.. http://en.nice.aeroport.fr
