PRESS RELEASE
Nice Airport, the new version of Nice Côte d’Azur’s free
mobile application is now available
to make your life simpler!
The first version of the mobile application Nice Airport, which has been running for five
years and has been downloaded almost 115,000 times, is now giving way to a completely
redesigned application to help passengers throughout their trip, before, during and after
passing through the airport.
The user-friendly browsing, simplified and pleasant design of the new version of the
application, which is available on Android and iPhone, in French and in English, enables
users to make the most its useful, practical and innovative features. Just like its campaign
promise, Travelling becomes child’s play at the Nice platform!
The Flight Info section now includes live flight information, which is an invaluable feature
enabling passengers and people accompanying them to and from the airport to receive
real time flight status updates on arrivals and departures (boarding in progress, expected
arrivals, delayed or cancelled flights, etc.).
The Directions and Maps section provides enhanced direction information to passengers.
Google Maps simplifies travelling to the airport where passengers can use geolocation to
find their way around the terminals via Indoor Google Maps.
The Parking section is one of the main features of the application. Passengers can find
their parking space by clicking on “real time availability” and also book a parking space on
Click&Park, whilst saving this parking space via the “find your parking space” option
available on the applicable once they’ve arrived at their destination!
The What’s New section presents the newest features at the airport. An update
notification system has also been developed in the event of a crisis situation (strike, bad
weather, etc.) to keep users informed in real time.
In the Shopping and Restaurants section, mobile Internet users can
discover the shops at the airport to find the products and services they need... or want!
Opening times, access maps, promotions, contact details: the application provides a
selection of practical and useful information.
The Don’t Miss section provides details on new features, exclusive and promotional deals
offered by the shops, restaurants and brands at the airport!
Snap Catch, all the latest news on the application, enables
users to discover the enriched content of the Grand Sud
magazine published by Nice Côte d’Azur Airport
It’s so simple: you just need to go to the Snap Catch section
on the application and click on the articles shown by icons
with captions in order to view the enriched content on your
mobile device: price comparator, click&collect, flight bookings, video, links to
other websites, etc.
“Mobile Internet users’ requirements have completely changed since the first version launched in 2010. It is now
essential to be able to access all of the airport’s services and practical information in real time via mobilefriendly content” stated Catherine Marchand, Communications Director at Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
“We intend to regularly enrich the Nice Airport application to provide an on-going service to our customers. Like
the progress in WiFi, which is now available in a free, unlimited and high speed version, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport
aims to develop this application in line with technological innovation and travellers’ ever-increasing need for
mobile Internet access, guaranteeing premium customer service, which is very much part of our DNA”, continued
Dominique Thillaud in the same vein, Chair of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group
