Established in 1912, Reeder Chevrolet is the oldest Knoxville Chevrolet dealer in the area. Our outstanding performance in sales and service has earned us the prestigious Mark of Excellence Award from GM. As your new Chevy and used car dealer in Knoxville, Tennessee, we are committed to providing you with a great automotive experience. Reeder is the top Corvette warranty and repair shop in the Knoxville area with most GM Certified Corvette mechanics. Reeder provides shop and parts discounts to all ETCC members. Many of the Reeder employees are also ETCC members. The Reeder Promise: Our commitment is for you to have a great automotive experience by treating you fairly, honestly and with respect. Reeder Chevrolet has been a proud sponsor of East Tennessee Corvette Club since 1968; which was only ten short years after ETCC was formed. The East Tennessee Corvette Club was founded in 1958 by Archie Clark (President), Bill Johnson, Jerry Thornton, and John Wagner in Maryville, Tennessee. In 1968 Reeder Chevrolet built a new dealership and the club moved to that location. The club meets here today and Reeder Chevrolet has consistently been a strong supporter of the club’s events. The club has grown over the years and now has over 200 active members. The club offers activities for those interested in car shows, touring, and parties. The club meets once each month and plans an event for every month. The http://www.etcorvette.com/ East Tennessee Corvette club is, for the most part, a social organization that focuses on the enjoyment of the Corvette automobile. Our activities are many and as varied as our membership has interest. We begin the year with an awards banquet held in early January. This event is a little more formal than our other activities but still casual. This is the time that we recognize the contributions and accomplishments of our members for the previous year. February brings our traditional Valentine Brunch held on the Sunday closest to Valentine’s Day at a local restaurant. We kick-off the warm weather and Corvette fun with our annual Dogwood Tour in April. This is a Sunday afternoon event touring one or more of the Knoxville area dogwood trails followed by dinner at a local restaurant. Our annual car show is held at Reeder Chevrolet in early May each year. In recent years we have held a very successful silent auction along with the car show, which benefits our charities. June is normally picnic month. We enjoy various picnic venues such as a local park, a member’s home on the lake, or a pool gathering at the home of one of our members. In August we like to gather at the Tic-Toc Ice Cream Parlor in Loudon on a late Saturday afternoon for ice cream and then attend movies at one of the local drive-ins. October is usually the month for Vette Fest. This is an ETCC hosted weekend event in Gatlinburg that has been held annually for several decades. It draws participation from several states and includes a car show, dance, and various other activities. October also brings our very popular Fall Color Tour. We spend time touring the countryside enjoying the fall colors of east Tennessee. Our mid-way destination is usually one of the state parks in east Tennessee where we enjoy an excellent Sunday noon meal and then return home to the Knoxville area. December is holiday time with a club Christmas party held at Reeder Chevrolet. In addition to all of these traditional activities we will have special events from time to time such as a trip to the Corvette Plant and Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky; a weekend in the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway; or a visit to an area car collectors museum. We would welcome you to visit our website and check out the Gallery to see many of the neat things ETCC enjoys throughout the year. We welcome you to reach out to us for any additional questions you might have around our club and NCCC. Membership in the ETCC automatically includes membership in the National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc. (NCCC) by virtue of completing required paperwork and payment of dues. This dual membership is a requirement of ETCC By-Laws and provides liability insurance for club sponsored activities. The NCCC serves as an umbrella organization for the ETCC, sponsoring numerous competitive type Corvette events on a regional and national basis. The following information is taken from the NCCC website at: http://www.corvettesnccc.org/ The National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc. (NCCC) was founded in the United States as an all volunteer, non-profit organization in 1959 by a small group of Corvette owners/enthusiasts! In 2009 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary and look forward to many more years of fellowship. The purpose of NCCC was (and still is) to promote interest in Corvette ownership and operation, to publish information on the use and operation of the Corvette and to establish an organized effort to encourage others to participate in the enjoyment connected with the use and ownership of the Corvette ~ America’s Sports Car! In the early days, the number of Clubs was rather small with all of the them being located East of the Mississippi. Today, there are over 270 Clubs in 16 Regions spanning both east and west of the Mississippi River! Membership in NCCC is comprised of more than 17,000 Members and is the largest non-profit, all volunteer Corvette organi-
