Don has raffle tickets for a 2014 coupe so if you’re interested see him for a ticket. The complete report with details can be found in the newsletter. John Fort and Don spoke about the NCM Motorsports Park and the possibility of the club coming together to purchase one acre in support of the Park. If you have any interest in supporting the Motorsports Park with a financial donation please let one of the officers know of your interest. Events Past and Future We had six members attend Corvettes at Carlisle and Tony had his first taste of Corvettes at Carlisle. Cars & Coffee as well as our Judging training and cook out was this past Saturday and we had a very large turnout, someone said we had over 30 corvettes show up plus Peter’s 5 and thanks to Dave Theisen in the next garage with his 4 corvettes made for over 40 corvettes to see in one place and it was quite a sight. A nice meal was enjoyed with salads and desserts provided by the members and the car show judges all hopefully learned some new information to assist them at the show on Saturday. We have our corvette show this Sunday with a meet and greet Saturday night at Carrabba’s at 5:00 and an after party on Sunday at the Fox and Hound after we finish cleaning up. The Myrtle Beach Corvette multi-club luncheon has been rescheduled for 11:30am Saturday, October 26 at the brand new banquet room at the Brick Landing Golf Course in Ocean Isle Beach. Additional details will be provided at the next CFC meeting. CFC Corvette Show: Gordon requested the members that volunteered to assist with parking and registration to arrive at Gordon Chevrolet by 7:00am as member workers will be arriving starting at 7:00 and will need direction to park and assistance to register there cars. All other member volunteers are requested to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 am and to come into Gordon Chevrolet by way of the back gate located on Van Campen Blvd opposite the Holiday Inn If you have walkie talkies please bring them. PLEASE bring canned food or non-perishable food to the car show to support the local food bank. Last year our donation to AARP the local food bank was able to provide 22,000 meals.
