Tag Rugby
Congratulations to our year 5/6 children who took part in the annual Tag Rugby Tournament at
Ivybridge Rugby Club against 11 other schools. They played brilliantly as a team demonstrating
excellent skill and speed. Thanks to their coach Mr Charlie Bush for his enthusiasm and
encouragement, which helped the children to make it through to the semi-final in the knock out
tournament coming 3rd overall. They have now qualified for the South Hams Area Tournament at
Ivybridge Community College on the 21st May.
Charlie Bush said “One of the great aspects of rugby is that everyone in the team is important and I
thought that way the Holbeton team, most of whom had not played rugby before, gelled and
supported each other was magnificent and a testament to the wider team culture in the school. So
well done one and all!”
