Job Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for securing new accounts, as well as building and fostering relationships within the local business community. The person in the role will be responsible for co-­‐authoring sales presentations, collaborating on lead generation, maintaining company CRM and company databases, and closing leads. Additionally this person will be responsible for creating relationships in the local community by attending networking events and securing appointments with strategic partnership prospects, when necessary. This role will also work with the Customer Service department for any needed support for existing accounts. This particular position requires a keen sense of prioritization combined with a well-­‐rounded understanding of the sales process. The individual who fills this role needs to be comfortable working in a fast-­‐
paced, frequently changing environment. This role has strong promotional opportunities within our Business Development and Strategic Partnership teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Perform lead generation and outbound cold calling to target markets • Follow up with leads generated through company website • Assist in developing and improving sales and operational processes • Maintain company CRM and databases • Schedule virtual demos when necessary through multiple platforms: Outlook, CRM and GoTo Suite • Contribute toward workflow improvement brainstorming for Business Development team • Attend trade shows and networking events to build and foster relationships with the local business community • Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects • Other tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) •
