The School Trustees of Klondike Independent School District
The Board of Trustees for the Klondike Independent School District met on the 11th day of May
2015 in regularly scheduled meeting with the following board members present: Kenny
Ferguson, Kirk Tidwell, Quinton Kearney, Kelley O’Brien, Mike Barkowsky, Clay Thixton,
Steven Archer, Superintendent Steve McLaren & Principal Tony Bushong.
Board President, Kenny Ferguson, called the meeting to order.
Kenny Ferguson gave the invocation.
Motion made by Kirk Tidwell to approve the minutes of the regularly called meeting on April
13, 2015. Motion seconded by Quinton Kearney. Motion passed 7-0.
Motion made by Steven Archer to pay the current bills. Motion seconded by Clay Thixton.
Motion passed 7-0.
Administration reported on Regional UIL Literary & Track Meet results, graduation,
5th & 8th STAAR Reading & Math scores, May calendar, June board meeting,
Summer Projects
Motion made by Steven Archer to extend a probationary teacher/coach contract for the 20152016 school year to Chad Myers. Motion seconded by Kelley O’Brien. Motion passed 7-0.
Motion made by Mike Barkowsky to extend a probationary teacher/coach contract for the 20152016 school year to Andra French. Motion seconded by Quinton Kearney. Motion passed 7-0.
Board went into closed session at 8:40 p.m. to discuss personnel. Board reconvened into open
session at 9:20 p.m.
Motion made by Mike Barkowsky to adjourn. Motion seconded by Clay Thixton. Motion
passed 7-0.
