feeding your family, becoming a volunteer, getting your taxes done,
avoiding eviction, caring for your grandmother, keeping your heat on,
joining the work force, finding a summer camp, Protecting a friend
and much more.

Message from Grand Knight:
Dear Brother Knights:
As we prepare ourselves for this Lenten season, I pray that we
can take some time and reflect on our misgivings throughout
the year and be willing to listen to what God’s will is and how
the Holy Spirit is guiding us to act. Sometimes the easiest
thing to do or the way we want to act is not in line with how
our conscience is telling us to behave. We all need to
remember that as Catholics, we are called to offer up all of our
actions in God’s name and for His Glory.
I want to invite all men in our community to join us for the
annual Father-Son Communion Breakfast. This is such a
special part of our history as a Catholic organization and a
wonderful way for fathers and sons to join in the Sacraments
of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist and then enjoy
fellowship with one another. So, whether you’ve participated
for many years or have never had the opportunity to attend, I
want all of you to know that we would love to have you attend
9:00 mass on March 22nd and then join us at the club for
breakfast and socializing.
Lastly, I would like to thank all members who helped with the
Steak Stag and Game dinner. Both events were huge
successes and required a lot of work and dedication. If you
would like to help with any of our upcoming events, feel free
to contact me personally or any other club officer for details.
We are always grateful for our brother Knights’ assistance
with our fundraising efforts.

76th ANNUAL COMMUNION BREAKFAST
This tradition was started to encourage
all fathers of the parish to go to
confession and then attend Mass and
receive Communion with their sons
insuring that these fathers would fulfill
their EASTER DUTY obligation. The
breakfast is open to all Fathers and Sons
of the Parish. So Fathers and Sons mark your calendar for
Sunday March 22, 2015 to attend the 9:00 AM Mass and This
year’s Father and Son Communion Breakfast. Tickets are
Advance $6.00 adults, $4.00 students. At door $7.00 adults ,
$5.00 student.

40 Cans for 40 Days Project is now underwy This
project aids local food pantries to
insure that the less fortunate members
of the community get much needed
help with nutritional needs.
We will again need help in
transporting the food to the
distribution centers at the “Good
Shepard Center”, and the “Jamestown
Food Pantry”, from collection points at our council home, and
the Gathering spaces at St. Michael and St. Margaret in
Jamestown. This only requires about 2 hours of your time
maybe 3 times during Lent. Please call 724.588.1952 to help
with this humanitarian project.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the
Fourth Degree, do not hesitate to call any of the members of
our Assembly. Several are noted on the contact list above
they are indicated by the suffix SK (Sir Knight). The next
Fourth Degree Exemplification will be held in Pittsburgh on
June 7th .
Some people believe that ethics in business is a contradiction

profitable, increase our assets and stay dedicated to this vision
that will keep the Order financially sound for generations to
come.

PA State Convention:
Would you like to be more involved in the Knights of
Columbus? Have you ever wondered what happens at a
convention? Would you like to see how a meeting is supposed
to run? Well you are in a unique position to observe or
participate in these activities at little or no cost to you for the
next couple of years. The only credentials you need to attend
the meetings at the convention, is your current THIRD
Degree membership card, with the council seal imprinted on
it. This card allows you admission to the meetings of the State
Council. Although you can only observe the proceedings, it
can be an educational opportunity in the inner workings of the
Order. Voting rights on motions brought to the floor, are
reserved to the two delegates elected by our council.
The Western Region will host the 117th State
Convention May 15 thru 17, 2015, at the Pittsburgh Marriott
North Hotel, 100 Cranberry Drive, Cranberry Township, PA,
16066. If you would like more information check the State
website at www.pakofc.us .
The Central Western Region will host the 118th State
Convention will be held in Erie PA. in 2016. More
information on this will be forthcoming after the conclusion of
this year’s convention
Like I said both of these events provide a great
opportunity for you to observe or participate in the inner
workings of the Order. If interested please contact one of the
officers of the council.
