he pilgrim image of Our Lady of Zapopan will be visiting Holy Innocents this
week at its only stop in Long Beach.
The Lord in His goodness has wrought
countless miracles through this intercession
of Our Lady of Zapopan. Devotion to the
Blessed Mother under her title, Our Lady of
Zapopan, springs from her shrine in Mexico (near Guadalajara) which is visited by multitudes of pilgrims the year
round.
Holy Innocents is pleased to announce that the Pilgrim Virgin of Zapopan will be with us for 2 days: Wednesday,
May 20 and Thursday, May 21. Her arrival is scheduled
for Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. followed by a brief
procession through the neighborhood, Mass at 7:00 p.m.
(in Spanish) and veneration of the sacred image until 11:00
p.m. Confession will be available during the Mass.
The following day will begin with Holy Mass (in English) at
6:30 a.m., and prayer with the image at the abortion mill at
9:00 a.m. The church will be open all day for veneration
until the farewell Mass at 7:00 p.m.
