AUSTRALIAN SPOONS
Presented to the LGU in 1967 by the Australian Ladies’ Golf Union to encourage support for
the International Match Fund. Clubs are invited to hold an 18-hole Stableford Greensomes
qualifying competition for the Spoons.
PRIZES
The Spoons will be held for one year by the club from which the winning pair enters. The
winning pair will receive memento Spoons and the ILGU will present vouchers for the winners,
runners-up, best gross score, 3rd and 4th placed pairs.
The following Regulations and Conditions must be read in conjunction with Generic Regulations
and Conditions.
CONDITIONS
9.2.1 The winning pair from each club will qualify to play in the District Final.
9.2.2 The entry fees paid by all competitors must be sent to the Hon. Secretary of the District
by a date to be decided by that District Executive Committee.
9.2.3 All categories of members (including juniors) are eligible to play.
DISTRICT FINALS - STABLEFORD GREENSOMES
9.3.1 The winning pair from each club (or 2nd, 3rd in the event of the winners not being
available)will qualify to play in a District Final on a date to be arranged by the District
Executive
Committee in each District. Vouchers will be awarded.
ALL-IRELAND FINAL - STABLEFORD GREENSOMES
9.4.1 The three pairs with the best nett scores and the gross from each District or substitutes
4thand 5th if necessary, will be eligible to play for the Australian Spoons, Memento Spoons and
Vouchers.
