This information is supplemental to the local rules and Conditions of Competition for OGA Championships and Events
1.
THE OREGON GOLF CLUB – please disregard all Local Rules.
2.
TEEING GROUND
Open Division:
Senior Division:
Men will play from the Silver tees (71.2/136 at 6389 yards)
Men will play from the Orange Tees (69.6/133 at 6066 yards)
Ladies will play from the Green Tees (72.0/132 at 5376 yards)
Ladies will play from the Green Tees (72.0/132 at 5376 yards)

OUT OF BOUNDS is defined by white stakes and, when white stakes are not present, perimeter fencing. In addition, the inside edge of
the public road left of #2 and the white line behind the putting green on #5.
4.
CLEANING THE BALL - The local for Cleaning the Ball will be in effect. See Appendix I
5.
INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE include the following (These are not obstructions and relief under Rule 24 is not available): All dirt
maintenance paths and, on holes #2, #5, and #13, the Cart Paths, bridges and or fences located between the green stakes.
6.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR, PLAY PROHIBITED – The following areas are deemed to be Ground Under Repair from which play is prohibited. If
you have interference to the lie of the ball, your stance, or the area of your intended swing you must take relief as provided for below.
7.
a.
Hole 10 – The sod farm located left of the putting green as defined by green stakes. Relief must be taken under Rule 25.
b.
Hole 12 – For a ball in the flowerbeds either in front of the tee or below the green, separated by the cart path play is
prohibited and relief from the flower beds is mandatory. As an additional option a drop zone has been provided see item 7.
c.
All other flower beds are distinguishable by the presence of maintained wood chip ground cover. Relief must be taken under
Rule 25.
DROPPING ZONES (HOLE 12) – The OGA has established two dropping zone for use in the play of hole 12 only in the following situations:
a.
If the ball comes to rest in the water hazard, in addition to the options available under Rule 26, you may also take relief,
under penalty of one stroke, to the dropping zone located short of the water hazard just left of the cart path.
b.
If the ball comes to rest in flower beds fronting the green in addition to the options available under Rule 25, you may take
relief, without penalty, to the dropping zone short of the green after you cross the bridge.
8. Preferred Lies – A ball lying on a closely mown area (fairway height) through the green may be lifted without
penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position and must place it on a spot within
one club length of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a
putting green. A ball in the rough may also be marked and cleaned and replaced in its original position.
